We have a tiered system for adoptions.  Fees range from $150 for a senior dog (aged 10 and up) to $200 for an adult dog (1-9) to $250 for a puppy (0-11 months).

We offer $50 discounts for:

• People aged 62 and older
• Active and retired military personnel as a thank you for your service to this country.
• Multi-dog - if you adopt more than one dog at a time
• Previous adopter

We are a volunteer-based, non-profit rescue organization. All adoption fees are  returned back into the rescue treasury to support the care and medical needs incurred while fostering dogs. 

We are always looking for volunteers across the country to help with transport, fostering, home inspections, state coordinators, and administrative tasks.  If you are interested in receiving more detailed information, please send an email to volunteer@tftrescue.com and one of our volunteers will get back to you.

Please go to our forms page to find an adoption application.  Send your completed application to admin@tftrescue.com. When we find a dog that fits your wishes, we will check your references (vet and personal), conduct a telephone interview, do a home visit, and if the adoption is approved, then transportation is arranged.

Dogs can be transported using ground transports, commercial airlines, or utilizing DART (Delta Animal Rescue Transport). The cost is the responsibility of the adopter and may range from just the cost of a health certificate, to the cost of a crate, to  the cost of a flight. We will work to find the best way to transport the dog to you.

We understand that situations arise, through no fault of your own, and you are no longer able to care for your little one.  If that happens, please go to our Forms tab, download and fill out the surrender form, then return it to us by e-mail to admin@tftrescue.com.  One of our dog facilitators will contact you.

Please think about who will care for your TFT (and other pets) if you should pass away or become disabled before they pass away.  We are in the process of creating a form which may be able to help you.  We will also have some informative websites on our Links tab.
